On the 8th Day of Homeschool the Sisters gave to me..............
50 States Notebooking Pages!
We hope you are enjoying the 12 Days of Homeschool! If you haven't already entered, there are still three days to enter the Jonathan Park Audio Adventure giveaway.
Both of us Sisters LOVE American History! It probably comes from our parents. We can both still remember the many, many history museums, famous battlefields, and monuments that we visited on summer vacations.
Disneyland? What's that?
We were taken to Independence Hall, the battlefield where Gettysburg was fought, re-created American Indian villages, Mount Rushmore, and the like. Although it did get a little dull sometimes to a child (Do we have to read every plaque?), apparently it made a big impact on us, because here we are today doing the same thing to our children. :-)
We are in a five-year history cycle and moving into the period of colonization (after a dry spell in the Reformation). Super excited here!!
In conjunction with our history study, we'll also be notebooking our way through the states, in the order in which they are added to the Union. To make it easier, we've created 50 States Notebooking Pages. And, of course, whatever we make for our own families, we share with our friends!
We've included many styles to choose from in both color and black & white. Some can be used for a two-page spread. A few pages have very little space for writer, for younger children. Others have ample writing spaces.
There's also a full-page map for your student to practice labeling the states and a second page for them to draw their state map or create their own.
The best part, though, are the images. The Johnsons once did a notebooking project from a free download, but had to find graphics to use. Bummer! Rachel spent so much time looking for graphics, never had them ready when we needed them, and ended up very frustrated with this "simple," free notebooking project!
For you, dear friend, we have already done the work. These notebooking pages include a set of state outlines, flags, and state names all ready to be printed, cut out, and pasted whenever you need them!
Check back later this week in our 12 Days of Homeschool and you'll find that we've actually made things MUCH simpler for you! But, for now, enjoy these 50 States Notebooking Pages. To download, click on the image below:
